SDH uplink capacity scales from STM-1 to STM-16, and these uplinks can operate under 1+1 MSP or SNCP protection. Tributary cards connected to each uplink slot support E1, GE, 10GE, and other service interfaces. The switching matrix operates at the SDH VC level (VC-4, VC-3, VC-12, VC-11) or at the packet level (MPLS, IP). Maximum system capacity scales to 80 Gbps, enabling solutions for the largest critical infrastructure networks.
