SMG104 is an IP/MPLS aggregation router powered by SMGOS, positioned for enterprise and service provider networks. It delivers high availability and performance with support for MPLS VPN, VRF, QoS, SNMP, RADIUS, OpenVPN and IPsec.
SMG104 is an IP/MPLS aggregation router designed for enterprise and service provider networks. With balanced hardware capacity and an optimized architecture, it reliably performs data aggregation and forwarding tasks between access and backbone layers.
SMG104 runs on SMGOS, a network operating system developed by Simgenet. Thanks to its intuitive web-based interface, administrators can easily manage routing and network services without relying on complex CLI commands.
SMGOS supports advanced routing protocols such as MPLS, MPLS VPN, VRF, BGP, OSPF, and RIP, enabling scalable and flexible network architectures at aggregation and distribution layers. High availability is achieved through mechanisms like Fast Convergence, ECMP, and BFD, while a broad range of services is provided with support for QoS, VPN, PTP/NTP, and PPPoE.
With a hardware design featuring PCIe-based expansion capabilities, SMG104 is engineered to support various network interface card and port combinations. Its 19” rackmount form factor makes it suitable for long-term, stable operation in data center and service provider environments.
SMG104 – IP/MPLS Aggregation Router
Powered by the SMGOS network operating system
• Supports MPLS, MPLS VPN and VRF
• Suitable for aggregation and distribution layer scenarios
• Designed for enterprise and service provider networks
• Flexible hardware architecture with PCIe-based expansion
• Supports 1Gbps and 10Gbps Ethernet uplink capacity
Thanks to its modular PCIe hardware architecture, multiple Ethernet ports can be configured on the same system depending on the installed network interface card configuration; for aggregation scenarios, multiple 1Gbps and 10Gbps electrical or optical Ethernet connections can be supported on a single platform.
