LR Link - HS401

The HS401 Network Platform is a 1U rack-mount network appliance developed by Shenzhen Lianrui Electronics (LR-Link). It employs Intel® Atom C3000 series processors (such as C3336 or C3558), delivering low power consumption (11–16 W TDP) in a compact form factor—making it ideal for industrial automation, communications, transportation, education, and healthcare environments.

HS401 comes with onboard DDR4 memory options (2 GB, 4 GB, or 8 GB, typically 4 GB) and one DDR4 SODIMM slot supporting up to 16 GB RAM. For storage, it features onboard eMMC (8/16/32 GB, commonly 32 GB), an mSATA slot, and a bay for a 2.5” or 3.5” HDD.

On the network front, the device includes 6× 1G RJ45 ports (Intel i210AT-based) with bypass support in two groups, and 2× 1G SFP ports (using Marvell 88E1543 PHY). The front panel also hosts power, HDD, bypass, and GPIO status LEDs, along with 2× USB 2.0 ports and a serial RJ45 console port.

Measuring 430 mm (W) × 300 mm (D) × 44 mm (H) and weighing just 4 kg, HS401 includes a 75 W modular power supply. It operates reliably within 0 °C–50 °C, and is rated for storage in conditions ranging from -20 °C to 60 °C with humidity tolerance of 5–95% non-condensing.

Designed as a flexible hardware foundation, HS401 serves as an excellent platform for various network security applications. Whether used for firewall, IDS/IPS, VPN, UTM, or SD-WAN, organizations can deploy their preferred security software—such as open-source (pfSense, OPNsense) or commercial platforms (Sophos, FortiGate VM, Check Point)—on the HS401 hardware, ensuring scalability and adaptability for their specific requirements.
