HS306 comes with four DDR4 DIMM slots, supporting up to 128 GB of memory, with each slot handling up to 32 GB. It operates at 2400/2666 MHz frequencies. Networking capabilities include 8× RJ45 gigabit Ethernet ports. On the front panel, it features 2× USB 3.0 ports, one RJ45 console port, and LED indicators for power and HDD status.
The appliance offers strong scalability with 2× PCIe x8 (Gen3–Gen4) slots. Optional expansion modules include 4-port electrical/optical cards, 8-port electrical/optical cards, dual 10G optical cards, and even 40G optical cards. This modular approach enables HS306 to adapt to various enterprise network deployments and scale as requirements grow.
For storage, HS306 integrates 4× SATA 3.0 interfaces for both 2.5” and 3.5” drives, along with a CF card slot. It is powered by a 250W single PSU. Measuring 430 mm × 550 mm × 89 mm and weighing 9 kg, it operates reliably within 0°C–50°C, and can be stored at -20°C to 75°C with humidity tolerance of up to 95% non-condensing.
HS306 serves as a flexible hardware base for a wide range of network security applications. It is suitable for running firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, UTM, SD-WAN, or load balancing software. Organizations can choose to deploy open-source solutions such as pfSense and OPNsense or commercial platforms like Sophos, FortiGate VM, and Check Point, leveraging HS306 as a scalable and reliable infrastructure for enterprise network security.
