On the hardware front, HS304 provides four DDR4 DIMM slots, supporting dual-channel DDR4 memory at 2666/2400/2133 MHz for up to 128 GB RAM. Network connectivity includes 6×1G RJ45 and 4×1G SFP ports, with bypass support on LAN3/LAN4 and LAN5/LAN6 to ensure uninterrupted operation.
The platform boasts a flexible modular design, including one PCIe x1 slot (compatible with x4), one PCIe x16 slot, and a long mini-PCIe slot for optional Wi-Fi modules or equivalent. Storage options are extensive with four SATA 3.0 interfaces (supporting both 2.5” and 3.5” drives) and a CF card expansion slot.
On the power front, HS304 offers flexible options with either a 250W single PSU or a 350W redundant PSU. The device measures 430 mm (W) × 550 mm (D) × 89 mm (H), weighs 20 kg, and operates reliably between 0 °C and 50 °C while supporting storage between -20 °C and 60 °C, as well as humidity tolerance up to 95% non-condensing.
Designed as a hardware platform, HS304 enables a wide range of network security applications. It can serve as a foundation for firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, UTM, or SD-WAN deployments. Whether using open-source tools like pfSense or OPNsense, or commercial solutions such as Sophos, FortiGate VM, or Check Point, HS304 delivers a scalable and flexible infrastructure.
